Dr. Alicia Gwynn, is a Philanthropist, Entrepreneur, President and CEO of Gwynn Enterprises a full-service facilities Company, President and CEO for Gwynn Foods, a catering and retail products company, wife of baseball great Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn, and President of the Tony and Alicia Gwynn Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to bettering the lives of disadvantaged children.

Alicia Gwynn hold a Ph.D. in Christian Education and a Master’s degree in Counseling with the emphasis in Marriage and Family along with a Master’s degree in Christian Counseling while at the present time pursuing her clinical license as a Marriage and Family counselor. What Dr. Gwynn enjoys most is her calling from the Lord as a licensed ordained Minister and teacher. She is a certified Anger Management counselor along with being certified in the Ellison Inclusive Community Building Model.

She is the Author of The Creed of Life”, Practical Principles of Character Building that has been used by the SDSU Graduate Students through the Multicultural Center.
Along with Gwynn Sports, Dr. Gwynn is enjoying the new found success of Gwynn Foods where she has created her own recipes such as barbque sauces, mustard relish sauces, flavor booster and a batter for frying all types of meats. In addition to these fine products, Dr. Gwynn has perfected her batter on chicken which now retails in the frozens goods department. Her products are in many retail stores and many food service places.

in 1997 she received the Woman Who Means Business Award presented by the San Diego Business Journal. She has also been honored as Volunteer of the Year by the Philanthropy Council for her philanthropic achievements, and is a recipient of the prestigious Child Help USA for the Love of a Child Award. In 2008 she was featured on the cover of bizSanDiego Magazine as one of the top 20 most powerful women who are making a difference in our community and women who move the city. In 2009 she was finalist for one of the most influential women in San Diego featured in the San Diego Magazine and along with her husband Tony, they received the 2009 Anthousa award by The Philoptochos Society of Sand Diego for their philanthropic service. Dr. Gwynn was one of the 2009 finalist in Women Who Move the City for the San Diego Magazine, and is the recipient of the 2009 Philoptochos Society of San Diego Anthousa Award for The Tony and Alicia Gwynn Foundation.

Currently Dr. Gwynn resides as the chair for the San Diego North County Regional Chamber Education Foundation and is also a board member of the San Diego North County Regional Chamber. She will be honored on September 18, 2010 for the National Council of Negro Women Community Service Award. Dr. Gwynn and Baseball Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn, have two children Tony, Jr. who plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Anisha Nicole who is a music artist. Dr. Gwynn resides in Poway, California.
